/n /n The Role: /n

/nThe Desktop Support Trainee supports the delivery of desktop and end-user technology services while/n

/nundertaking a structured traineeship program./n

/n

/nThe role provides practical experience across IT support, customer service, asset management and technology/n

/nadministration. The trainee develops knowledge, skills and capabilities through a combination of workplace/n

/nlearning, formal training and on-the-job coaching./n

/n

Key Accountabilities/n

/n

IT Support and Customer Service/n

/n- Assist with responding to IT support requests and service enquiries./n

/n- Learn and apply IT support procedures, systems and processes./n

/n- Provide first-level assistance to staff under supervision./n

/n- Escalate technical issues to appropriate team members when required./n

/n- Contribute to positive user experiences through responsive and qualified support./n

/n /n

Desktop and Technology Support/n

/n- Assist with the setup, deployment and maintenance of desktops, laptops and other end-user devices./n





/n- Support the installation and configuration of software and equipment./n

/n- Learn how desktop operating systems, applications and business systems are supported./n

/n- Assist with routine system checks, updates and maintenance activities./n

/n /n

Asset Management and Administration/n

/n- Assist with maintaining equipment and asset records./n

/n- Support technology procurement and asset lifecycle activities./n

/n- Assist with inventory checks and reporting activities./n

/n- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with procedures./n

/n /n

Learning and Development/n

/n- Complete all requirements of the traineeship qualification./n

/n- Participate in coaching, training and development activities./n

/n- Apply learning from formal training in the workplace./n

/n- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development./n

/n /n

Selection Criteria:/n

/n - Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - Confirmation of Aboriginality or a stat dec is required./n

/n - Genuine interest in technology/n

/n - Pass a police check/n

/n - Basic computer skills/n

/n - Completed year 12 or equivalent /n

/n
