Role Description
We're looking for a full-time Diesel Fitter / Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at Canberra Airport. You’ll take on everything from routine servicing to hands on fault-finding and major repairs across a large range of Ground Support Equipment, which includes pushback tractors, cargo loaders, baggage tugs, ground power units, air start units and more. You’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers operations running smoothly.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Fault-finding mechanical issues and carrying out routine maintenance and repairs.
- Ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times.
- Travelling to regional ports as required to conduct breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance.
- This role requires a proactive and adaptable mechanic with solid diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently when attending remote locations.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification and certification (Vehicle Mechanic/Diesel Fitter)
- Current Driver licence
- Be able to collaborate with other mechanics, technicians, and team members.
- Able to manage time efficiently.
