Experienced Disability Support Workers – High Physical Care

Lifestyle Journey Support is seeking dedicated, reliable and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.

We are looking for individuals who have a robust work ethic, a positive attitude and genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disabilities.

About the Role

This position involves supporting participants with high physical support needs. Successful applicants must be confident, compassionate and capable of delivering safe, respectful and professional care.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing high-level physical and personal care support.
- Assisting with showering, toileting, dressing, grooming and hygiene.
- Safely operating hoists, including full-body and sling hoists, in accordance with individual care plans.
- Assisting with transfers, mobility and repositioning.
- Supporting participants with daily living activities and routines.
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, independence and choice.
- Following individual support plans, manual handling procedures and workplace safety requirements.
- Completing accurate progress notes and reporting any concerns.
- Working collaboratively with participants, families and other support workers.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated experience supporting participants with high physical care needs.
- Proven experience and confidence using hoists and manual handling equipment.
- Experience providing personal care, including showering, toileting and continence support.
- Strong work ethic,



reliability and excellent time management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Ability to follow care plans and workplace procedures.
