About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Dispense Cocktail Bartender to join our vibrant team at Steer Dining Room in South Yarra. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and creating delightful cocktail and beverage experiences for our discerning guests.

This unique role is within a Restaurant Dispense Bar (not a typical cocktail bar/lounge) and will suit candidates with strong initiative personality and solid cocktail and spirit knowledge.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving a wide range of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and precision

- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area to ensure efficient operations

- Providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests

- Adhering to food safety and liquor licensing regulations at all times

- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate must be obtained within 30 days of commencement

- Must be available to commence within 2 weeks of job offer

- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service

- Inventory management and stock control

- Preparation of spirit infusions, cocktail batches, garnishes - ensuring everything is in date and within stock par levels

- Polishing of Cutlery, Plates and Glassware

What we're looking for





- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a cocktail bartender or similar role in a high-volume hospitality setting

- Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, bartending techniques, and liquor products

- Demonstrated knowledge of extended classics cocktail repertoire including advanced mixing techniques

- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality

- Ability to work efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Proven track record of adhering to food safety and liquor licensing regulations

- Enthusiastic and passionate about the hospitality industry

- Hours: 30-36 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday evenings (we are closed Sundays & Mondays)
