This position is based at our busy Belmont workshop where most of our work is performed, keeping it central to one location.

About the business

A.P.S. Rewinds and Sales is a Western Australian family-owned, medium sized business operating since 1964, servicing multiple industries including mining, manufacturing, water treatment and agricultural sectors across Western Australia. We are an authorized Davey Premium Master Dealer, Onga Pump Shop and Puretec Filtration specialist.

Our business activities include rewinds/repairs and overhauls to:

- AC and DC electric motors from 0.75kw to 800kw
- Alternators/generators to 1750kVA
- All types of centrifugal and submersible pumps
- Gearboxes and eddy current drives
- Modification to Australian standards and/or client/mining specification of new motors
- Sales and supply of new electric motors, pumps, generators, and water filtration equipment





We have a steady pipeline of incoming work which enables us to provide a stable environment to our team members. Our business hours are Monday to Friday generally between 8:00am to 5.00pm.

About the role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the position will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Rewinding AC motors and alternators from 0.75kw to 800kw, and to client specifications
- Accurate record keeping of winding data for all assigned jobs

Skills & experience

- Prior AC motor rewinding experience is essential
- Strong demonstrated understanding of motor specifications and rewind techniques
- Valid current W.A. Electrical Worker's or Electrician's License will be highly desirable
- Relevant Trade Qualification is desirable
- Commitment to safety and positive attitude
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and processes
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Robust attention to detail and effective communication skills

Candidates must have Australian permanent work rights. Temporary visa holders with approved Australian work rights may be considered.
