An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to lead environmental strategy, compliance, approvals, and sustainability initiatives for one of Victoria’s most significant port environments.

In this role, you will oversee environmental management systems, lead environmental approvals and monitoring programs, manage stakeholder and regulatory relationships, and provide strategic advice on port development projects. You will also play a key leadership role in oil spill preparedness and response, ensuring the Port meets its environmental obligations and industry best practice standards.

Key responsibilities include

- Leading environmental compliance, governance, and management systems.
- Managing environmental approvals, studies, and monitoring programs.
- Building strong relationships with regulators, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- Driving sustainability initiatives and continuous environmental improvement.
- Leading environmental reporting, audits, and performance monitoring.




- Coordinating oil spill response planning and emergency preparedness activities.
- Providing strategic environmental advice on future port developments.

About You

- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in environmental compliance, approvals, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of Victorian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing environmental studies, audits, and management systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders.
