Expression of Interest - Mechanical Service Technician (3rd & 4th Year Apprentices)

Location: Blacktown, NSW | Servicing Sydney Metro

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated 3rd and 4th Year Mechanical Apprentices interested in exploring opportunities with a global leader in industrial equipment and technology.

Based in Blacktown , potential opportunities may involve servicing and maintaining specialised mechanical equipment across the Sydney Metropolitan area, while working alongside an experienced technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for apprentices nearing the completion of their qualification who are looking to further develop their skills and build a long-term career in mechanical servicing and maintenance.

About the Role

Depending on available opportunities, you may work alongside experienced technicians in a field service environment, further developing your practical skills and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities may include

Assisting with servicing, maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment

Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults

Attending customer sites across Sydney Metro

Supporting equipment inspections and preventative maintenance

Following safety procedures and maintaining high standards of workmanship





About You

We're interested in hearing from apprentices who are eager to continue developing their skills in a specialised mechanical service setting.

Ideally, you'll have:

Currently completing your 3rd or 4th year of a mechanical apprenticeship A background in Mechanical Fitting, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Diesel Mechanics or a similar trade

Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in fault-finding A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team A current driver's licence (preferred)

We particularly encourage applications from apprentices who have completed most or all of their TAFE requirements and are currently working towards completing their apprenticeship term.
