Festival Glass & Glazing Pty Ltd, a leader in the flat glass industry in SA for almost 40 years, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.

Our Estimator plays a crucial role by providing accurate cost estimates for domestic and commercial glazing projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mathematical proficiency and attention to detail to assess project requirements and develop comprehensive quotes. The Estimator collaborates closely with project managers, architects, contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and successful project outcomes.

This Edwardstown based full-time role will suit an experienced Estimator with a background in glass and glazing and a strong understanding of AS1288, or an experienced Glazier who is looking to take their career in a recent direction by utilising their glazing expertise and working knowledge of AS1288 to develop into this role. Recent graduates from a relevant tertiary qualification or students still studying but nearing completion are also encouraged to apply, with consideration given to flexible hours to accommodate study commitments.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Review project specifications, plans and drawings to understand the scope of work.

· Conduct site visits or assessments to gather relevant information for estimating.

· Identify potential challenges or special requirements that may impact the estimation process.

· Analyse project requirements to determine the materials, labour and equipment needed.

· Utilize Smart Glazier software to calculate costs accurately.

· Consider factors such as material prices, labour rates, overheads and profit margins.

· Prepare detailed quotes including itemized breakdowns and quantities.





· Incorporate any special considerations or modifications requested by clients or project stakeholders.

· Liaise with project managers, architects and clients to clarify project details and requirements.

· Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing information.

· Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment of project scope and cost projections and timely completion of project.

· Participate in discussions to address questions or concerns raised by stakeholders.

· Maintain accurate records of quotes, revisions and correspondence.

· Document any changes or modifications to quotes throughout the project lifecycle.

· Stay updated on industry trends, materials and constructions methods related to glazing.

· Identify licensing and induction requirements at the quoting stage.

· Ensure timely follow up of quotes.

· Investigate new sales leads.

· Proactive client relationship management.

· Seek opportunities to enhance estimating processes and efficiency.

Standard hours will be Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm or equivalent. A competitive salary package will be negotiated depending on skills and experience. A start date will also be negotiated depending on availability.
