Role Description The Executive General Manager – Sports Travel is a full-time, in office leadership role based in Melbourne, VIC. This position is responsible for managing the financial aspects of the business (similar to CFO), plus working alongside the CEO to deliver strategic planning and manage the growth of the business. Day-to-day tasks include financial management, leading and mentoring cross-functional teams, setting and tracking performance targets.

The Executive General

Manager also drives business development, supports marketing initiatives,



and provides regular reporting to senior stakeholders on operational outcomes and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

- Extensive financial management experience including budgeting, cash flow projections, financial reporting, risk management and overall financial performance
- Proven experience in senior leadership or general management roles, preferably within travel, tourism, hospitality, or sports-related industries.
- Solid skills in strategic planning, business operations, and financial management, with the ability to set priorities and meet commercial targets.
- Demonstrated capability in stakeholder and client relationship management, including working with national or state organizations and key partners.
- Experience leading and developing diverse teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of the sports industry and major sporting events, with a genuine interest in sport and sports travel.
- Availability to work occasional extended hours and travel as required to support events, key meetings, or partner engagements.
