About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Used Car Salesman to join our sales team at our Slacks Creek, QLD location. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your sales expertise and product knowledge in a fast-paced automotive environment. As an Experienced Used Car Salesman, you will be the cornerstone of our customer-facing operations, responsible for showcasing our vehicle inventory, building relationships with clients, and closing sales.

This role is critical to driving revenue growth and maintaining our reputation for outstanding customer service.

Key responsibilities

- Greet and engage customers on the lot, understanding their needs and preferences to identify suitable vehicles
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle demonstrations and test drives, highlighting key features and benefits
- Provide detailed product knowledge about our used car inventory, including vehicle history, condition, and specifications
- Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements
- Complete sales documentation and ensure all paperwork is accurately processed and filed
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Maintain knowledge of current market values, competitor offerings, and promotional campaigns
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth handover of vehicles and customer satisfaction post-sale





What we're looking for

- Proven track record of success in used car sales or automotive retail with demonstrated sales achievements
- Strong product knowledge of vehicles, including mechanical understanding of car features and specifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer bases
- Confident negotiation abilities and a persuasive sales approach
- Ability to work in a agile, target-driven environment and consistently meet or exceed sales goals
- Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to conduct test drives
- Professional appearance and demeanour that reflects positively on the dealership
- Genuine passion for automobiles and customer service
- Organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up
- Preferably, experience with dealership management systems and CRM software
