Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and customer-focused Onsite IT Technicians to join our expanding Melbourne team. This role involves providing hands-on technical support to homes and small businesses, delivering timely solutions while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service.
Computer Cures manages all client bookings, scheduling, and administration, allowing technicians to focus entirely on service delivery and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite IT support to residential and small business clients across Melbourne
- Diagnose and resolve issues relating to:
- Internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, routers, printers, and email
- Windows and macOS systems
- Mobile devices, smart TVs, and streaming platforms
- Install, configure, and maintain:
- Network and Wi-Fi equipment
- Antivirus and data backup solutions
- Perform virus and malware removal and system optimization
- Deliver clear, easy-to-understand advice and user training
- Maintain accurate job documentation and service notes
- Communicate professionally with clients, including courtesy calls when arriving or delayed
- Uphold Computer Cures’ service standards and customer experience expectations
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in onsite or field-based IT support
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
- Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Solid understanding of hardware, software, and home/small business networking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, non-technical manner
Requirements
- Reliable vehicle and own tools
- Laptop or tablet suitable for field work
- Smartphone (iPhone 8 or newer)
- Full Australian working rights
- Police check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Public Liability Insurance (required for contractors)
