Cowell Electric is looking for a Finance Administrator / Assistant Accountant to join our team in a maternity leave coverage position.

The position will support Cowell Electric’s day-to-day finance activities, with a focus on financial reporting and supporting the broader needs of the business.

We are interested in hearing from individuals with a background in accounting or finance, whether through formal qualifications or relevant industry experience.

We are also open to someone with robust financial skills who is interested in further study and developing their accounting career.

Key responsibilities include

- Supporting the month-end close process

- Preparing journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations

- Maintaining the fixed asset register

- Preparing BAS and supporting compliance obligations

- Assisting with payroll and statutory requirements

- Supporting management reporting, budgeting and forecasting

- Analysing cash flow and financial performance
