About The Role

Not every vacancy comes from growth, but this one has. A highly respected national law firm is expanding its Brisbane Finance team, and that kind of investment says a lot about how seriously they take the growth of their people.

You'll be a key part of how the firm's finances run month to month, keeping transactions accurate and lending a hand right across the function. It's a chance to sharpen your skills in a polished, people-first environment, with leaders who back you to keep growing.

Your FocusDay to day, you'll be the friendly voice behind the finance inbox, helping people across the firm with their questions, including those about their team's budget. You'll keep special rate arrangements on client files up to date, volume discounts included, and jump in to help the reporting team when needed.

When month-end arrives, it's your time to shine. That means reconciling accounts payable, other debtors and prepayments, alongside depreciation and the fixed asset register. You'll also pitch in on billing and help prepare cost reports and recharges for the firm's internal groups and committees.

What You'll Need

You'll be warm and easy to work with, and you'll genuinely enjoy being part of a close team where everyone helps each other out.

You'll also bring

- Sound knowledge of Queensland trust accounting, including how trust money can be invested
- Hands-on use of Aderant, Cognos and NetDocs, or similar
- A background in finance administration, ideally from a law firm or similar professional firm
- Bookkeeping experience, which will be extremely well-regarded
