About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Revesby NSW on a full-time basis in a new office with onsite parking!

This is a strategic position that plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance and providing critical financial leadership across 24/7 Fuels. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights that support informed business decision-making. This role is essential to maintaining our financial health and supporting the company's growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

- Managing day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management

- Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts

- Overseeing the annual budgeting process and monitoring performance against budget forecasts

- Managing cash flow forecasting and working capital to ensure optimal liquidity

- Implementing and maintaining financial controls, policies and procedures to safeguard company assets

- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances





- Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and tax obligations

- Preparing financial reports and presenting key findings to senior management and stakeholders

- Managing the finance team, including recruitment, training, mentoring and performance management

- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing systems to enhance financial efficiency

- Supporting strategic planning by providing financial analysis and forecasting

What we're looking for

- A qualification in accounting or finance (such as CA, CPA or equivalent professional certification)

- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a finance management or controller role within a commercial business environment

- History in the use of Fuel Companion or any fuel accounting software

- Strong proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems; experience with ERP systems is advantageous

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling

- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting

- Solid understanding of audit requirements and financial compliance standards

- Proven ability to manage and develop finance team members

- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

- Experience in the fuel, logistics or distribution industry would be highly valuable
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
