Perth Waldorf School (Bibra Lake) invites applications for Finance Officer - Accounts Payable (Part-Time 0.66 FTE 25 hours pw) - Mon – Fri 9am – 2.00pm (Negotiable) - Commencing ASAP

About the role: The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual eager to join the school’s Finance team and work as an Accounts Payable officer. They will be someone who works well with everyone and willingly supports others, outside their role, where needed. The person is systems focussed and is willing to learn and grow. Taking initiative and looking for efficiencies will be highly regarded. The ability to work with uncertainty and be a part of the solution is vital.

Positive leadership and mentorship will be provided.

There is some limited flexibility in the rostered hours and working during school holidays.

Approximate salary range $72k - $78 k (pro-rata) plus 12% Super, dependent on experience.

Essential Criteria:

- Previous experience in a finance team.

- Xero experience and proficiency

- Accuracy in data entry
- A passion for numbers

- Able to use Microsoft Office and other software or learn quickly is significant

- Flexibility and being a team player

- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

- Reliable

- Positive confident attitude and a willingness to learn

- Working with Children Check or a willingness to apply

- Right to work in Australia





Desirable Criteria:

- We have another campus in the Perth Hills and being willing to engage with that campus team and the development of their processes, will be a highly valued

- Understanding of independent schools and how they work

- Willingness to engage in the life of the school and its ethos

Where: The school is located in a bushland setting in the southern suburbs of Perth, Australia (approx. 20 minutes from the CBD). Nearby is the popular and cosmopolitan town of Fremantle and the school is only 15 minutes from the coast. We provide a full Steiner curriculum from Playgroup to Class 12. We also have a separate campus being developed for Class 7 to 12 in Parkerville.

This position will be subject to a three-month review and a six-month probation period.
