This established Australian business has built a strong reputation in its market and continues to grow across a number of large and complex projects. With a sizeable national footprint and a fast-paced, commercial environment, the business offers the opportunity to join a high-performing team and gain broad exposure across the finance function.

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the team. Reporting into the Finance Manager, this is a broad role with responsibility across financial reporting, tax, reconciliations, compliance and process improvement. Responsibilities will include:

- Preparing monthly financial reports across cash, P&L;, debtors and capex

- Preparing quarterly, half-yearly and annual reporting

- Preparing consolidated financial statements and year-end accounts

- Completing and reviewing account reconciliations

- Managing accounts receivable and payable, debtors analysis and bank reconciliations





- Preparing journals and reconciling the general ledger

- Completing payroll and staff cost reconciliations

- Preparing income tax, FBT, GST, PAYG and payroll tax returns

- Supporting year-end tax and audit requirements

- Ensuring statutory, regulatory and tax compliance

- Supporting finance procedures, controls and approval processes

- Driving process improvements, automation and better reporting across the finance function

To be successful in this role, you will be CA/CPA qualified with strong experience across financial reporting, tax, reconciliations and compliance. You will have strong systems and Excel skills, be comfortable working autonomously and have the confidence to take ownership of a broad role. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach will be key.
