Michael Page have partnered exclusively with an Australian private company to recruit a Financial Controller to join their small team in South Perth.

Client Details

Specialising in the hospitality sector, our client is an Australian private company with sites around Australia. The team is now looking to strengthen its finance function with this stand-alone position.

Description

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will be a stand-alone finance position, responsible for:

- Manage all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, as well as Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables.
- Manage the outsourced payroll function for the group (fortnightly payroll).
- Manage intercompany reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly reports for management, including analysis of variances against budget and forecast.
- Manage dividend distribution to Joint Venture partners.
- Assist with Board Reporting for each site.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, ASIC, tax and financial reporting obligations.
- Oversee cash flow management and financial planning activities.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making.




- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals.

Profile The successful candidate will have prior experience working within a Big 4/Mid Tier audit environment, coupled with commercial Financial Controller experience. Key traits will also include:

- CA/CPA Qualified.
- Public practice education.
- Exposure working in SME commercial workplace.
- Hospitality or property industry exposure is desired.
- Prior experience reporting into a CEO and have the ability to progress into CFO title.
- Intercompany exposure.
- XERO accounting system knowledge.
- Willingness to travel to site on monthly basis (circa 2 days at a time).
