Is responsible for helping and supporting tradespeople and assisting with maintenance of worksites and equipment. The role includes general forklift duties and loading delivery trucks.
Key responsibilities
- Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing or bolting
- Read, interpret and follow drawings
- Operate all mobile plant and lifting equipment as and when requested (subject to licensing requirements)
- Position and hold metal stock or products to enable work to be carried out
- Operate power presses or other cutting and shaping tools and machines
- Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches
- Hand tools to tradespersons and hold tools not immediately required
- Clean and prepare working surfaces
- Clean cylinders with a pressure washer on arrival
- Hard stamp cylinders with job numbers for traceability
About you
- Have a valid Forklift License
- Manage Work Health & Safety (WHS) and environmental hazards in the workplace and off site when required
- Wear and maintain all appropriate PPE as required for the performance of the role
- Follow all company policies, procedures and instructions regarding Administration, Human Resources, Quality, Safety, Health and Workplace
