Freezer Storeperson

Role Purpose:

To receive, stack, store and distribute product and packaging material. This includes ensuring the contribution to a safe working environment, quality and environmental standards, efficient processes, and ensuring that you consistently strive to meet the highest level of excellence in all aspects of your work. This is a night shift role working 01:30am to 9:30am Monday to Friday.

Role Accountabilities:

- Receiving and storage of product
- Organise and manage product
- Bagging and palletising product for storage and/or despatch
- De-rack, palletise and wrap product using safe manual handling techniques
- Load the freezer for optimal freezing times
- Stock management
- Scan, stack and move product in a safe and organised manner
- Transparent separation and labelling of product lines
- Pick frozen/fresh sales orders for courier delivery or collection
- Distribution of product
- Load freight company vehicles with fresh/frozen product in a timely manner
- Selection and loading of product into containers
- Scanning of product as loaded into container
- Completing required documentation
- Applying customer labels where appropriate
- Ensuring container loaded to contract specifications




- Use correct manual handling techniques to safely remove delivered product from containers
- Transfer the product to appropriate work area for processing or storage in a safe way that maintains product quality and integrity

What you will need to succeed in the role: · Must have a minimum 2 years of experience working in large freezers.

· Experience with using & maintaining an inventory system including RF scanners and stocktake procedures.

· Demonstrated ability to work in below zero temperatures.

· Good time management, organisational skills and attention to detail in maintaining a freezer.

· Understanding of HACCP food safety program and the cold chain process in particular.

· Strong communication and organisational skills.

· Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.

· Forklift licence essential.

· Knowledge of fish/seafood products would be an advantage.
