OFFICE FITOUT PROFESSIONALS PTY LTD is seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to support the preparation and development of technical drawings and plans for commercial fit-out, cabinetry, joinery, renovation and associated building projects.

The successful candidate will work with project managers, builders, contractors, clients and production teams to translate project requirements, site measurements and design concepts into accurate technical drawings that support fabrication, construction and installation.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Completes architectural and building design concepts by preparing detailed drawings and plans for commercial fit-out, renovation, cabinetry, joinery and associated building projects.
- Prepares preliminary sketches, working drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Interprets architectural drawings, project specifications, site measurements and client requirements to prepare accurate technical documentation.
- Develops detailed drawings for office layouts, partitions, reception areas, cabinetry, built-in storage, joinery and other interior fit-out components, as applicable to each project.
- Conducts or reviews site measurements and existing site conditions to ensure drawings reflect the dimensions and requirements of the project.
- Liaises with builders, contractors, project managers, clients and installation teams to clarify drawings,



resolve design queries and incorporate feedback.
- Prepares, edits and revises drawings to reflect changes in design concepts, measurements, materials, finishes and installation requirements.
- Incorporates relevant building requirements, construction specifications and applicable standards into drawings, within the scope of the position.
- Coordinates technical drawings with fabrication and installation requirements to support accurate manufacture and project delivery.
- Maintains organised records of drawings, revisions, specifications and other project documentation. Selection criteria

Essential requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Engineering Drafting or a closely related discipline.
- At least one year of relevant work experience in architectural drafting, building drafting or preparing technical drawings for renovation, fit-out, cabinetry, joinery or related construction projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Ability to interpret architectural plans, technical specifications, site measurements and construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate working drawings.
- Effective communication and coordination skills when working with builders, contractors, project managers and production or installation teams.
