As part of its food service operations, the business requires a skilled Cook to assist with the preparation and cooking of meals for guests and customers. About the Role The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items in accordance with established recipes, food-quality standards and kitchen procedures. The role requires someone who can work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment,



maintain consistency during service periods and comply with food safety and workplace requirements.

responsibilities Prepare, season and cook a variety of meals and menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards. Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, vegetables, proteins, garnishes and accompaniments for daily service. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is prepared safely and consistently.

Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before preparation and service. Portion and present meals in accordance with required quality and presentation standards. Assist with food preparation and mise en place before and during service.

Store food and ingredients correctly and maintain appropriate stock rotation. Assist with monitoring stock levels, receiving supplies and reducing food wastage. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas, utensils and equipment.

Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Coordinate with other kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service.



Assist senior kitchen staff with daily kitchen operations and menu preparation as required.

Qualification &

experience Relevant Diploma or Certificate IV qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field. At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.

Experience working in a resort, hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality environment will be highly regarded. Valuable knowledge of food preparation, portion control and food safety requirements. Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high food-quality standards. Must be able to work full-time at Seisia Resort and Campground, Seisia QLD 4876.
