Position Title: Full-Time Production Manager

Salary: $100,000 per annum plus superannuation

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan, organise and coordinate the manufacturing and production of custom shade sails and related products.
- Develop production schedules, allocate labour and resources, and monitor workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time.
- Supervise and coordinate workshop fabrication and assembly staff, including allocating tasks and monitoring performance.
- Monitor the availability and use of raw materials, equipment and other production resources to minimise waste and production delays.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure finished products meet design, engineering and customer specifications.
- Monitor production costs, output and efficiency and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate the maintenance and appropriate use of production equipment, including industrial sewing and welding machinery.
- Ensure production activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements and maintain a safe and organised workshop.




- Use ServiceM8 or similar software to manage job scheduling, workflow and production records.
- Interpret technical drawings and provide technical and operational guidance to workshop staff.

Required Skills, Work Experience and Qualifications

- Proven experience in production management, manufacturing supervision or workshop management, preferably in textiles, canvas or shade sail manufacturing.
- Solid knowledge of production planning, workflow coordination, quality control and resource management.
- Experience supervising manufacturing staff and coordinating production schedules.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Practical knowledge of industrial sewing, welding and fabrication processes.
- Strong leadership, organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Experience using ServiceM8 or similar job management software.
