Red Cape Ball – Event Volunteers Needed!

Stand Up For Young Minds

Every day, one young Australian takes their own life, which is why zero2hero’s mission is more important than ever.

Now in its eighth year, the Red Cape Ball is a much-loved and unforgettable night.

A night of celebration, where Perth’s corporate leaders and socialites can support a future where every young person is empowered to positively manage their mental health and help their mates to do the same.

Heroes are ordinary individuals who take extraordinary action.

An event of this size needs a team of Heroes to ensure a seamless experience. If you can spare the time on Saturday 7th November 2027, we want to hear from you!

Who we are looking for

Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Heroes

Ability to take direction from the Event Manager and flexibility to adjust if requirements change. Ability to work within a fast paced environment.

The event team will be required to engage with a range of guests to ensure they are aware of all the fundraising opportunities included in the event. This chance would be well suited to anyone who has worked in a sales or customer facing role – however this not necessary if you have a positive attitude are open to speaking to new people!

Red Cape Ball Event Details

Saturday 7th November 2026

- Optus Stadium - Perth - 333 Victoria Park Dr, Burswood WA 6100.
- Volunteer arrival – 5.00pm.



End time approx. 11.30pm (however you are welcome to stay and enjoy the event until the end after formalities conclude!)
- Dress code – Cocktail/ball dress/suit and tie.

The Red Cape

Ball is a black-tie event – while we don’t expect tuxes and ball gowns (unless you would like to!) we would love our Event Team to present as a classy, professional unit. Comfortable shoes are a must!

- Please note that parking is limited therefore it is recommended that you get dropped off or catch public transport

Key volunteer responsibilities may include:

Welcoming guests and helping them find their allocated tables

Small amount of event set up - assisting with moving media walls and banners, setting up auction tables, and any last-minute adjustments to tables.

Selling raffle tickets and taking donation payments (you will be fully briefed and trained to use the credit card payment terminals)

Auction support/spotters,

General event support

- Event pack down - If you are able and willing to for bump out, the more hands we have available, the quicker it will be done! Bump out on the night involves mainly packing down silent auction, clearing event material from tables and loading gear on to trolleys.
