General Insurance Claims Consultant | North Sydney | $90K–$100K Super

Our client is a specialist insurer on a steady growth path, and its claims team is expanding with it. The business offers accessible, supportive leadership, a collaborative team culture and clear opportunities to progress, including moves across other areas of the business as it develops. The Role

You will manage a portfolio of claims across property, motor and other related risks, ranging from straightforward settlements through to complex losses. You will take ownership of each claim from first notification through to settlement and recoveries, and your delegated authority will build as your experience grows.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage claims from lodgement through to settlement and recoveries
- Investigate claims, interpret policy wording and determine coverage
- Negotiate fair outcomes and communicate decisions clearly to customers and brokers
- Escalate larger matters appropriately, developing your authority over time
- Work collaboratively with Underwriting and colleagues across the business
- Maintain clear and timely communication throughout each claim

About You

- A background in General Insurance claims. Candidates from a range of backgrounds, including home, motor,



commercial and liability, are encouraged to apply
- Sound analytical judgement and solid written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in making decisions and prioritising a busy caseload
- A genuine interest in learning across more than one line of business

Recoveries experience is not required, as full training is provided. What We Offer
