Role Description The Graduate Civil Engineer role is a full-time or Part time position based in Sydney, NSW. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in civil engineering design, preparing plans and documentation, and supporting stormwater and drainage solutions under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves contributing to project planning and coordination, undertaking site inspections, collecting data, and helping ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements.

The Graduate Civil

Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and support project delivery across roads, ground works, reserves, and other civil infrastructure projects.

Qualifications





- Foundational skills in Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical project work.
- Capability to work effectively as part of a team of Civil Engineers, contributing to planning, documentation, and project coordination.
- Understanding of Planning processes related to civil infrastructure projects, including basic familiarity with local regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles and drainage design, or solid interest in developing expertise in this area.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Competence in relevant engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to undertake site work, travel to project locations within the region, and learn from hands-on experience.
- Previous internship, vacation work, or project experience in civil or construction environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
