Billabong Zoo is looking for a friendly, organised and adaptable person to join our team in a varied role across Guest Services, Administration and Events.

No two days will be quite the same. You may be welcoming visitors and processing zoo entry, assisting with bookings and enquiries, helping run a birthday party or school visit, supporting an evening event or lending a hand in The Meeting Point Café.

Key responsibilities:

- Welcoming visitors and providing friendly, helpful customer service
- Processing zoo entry, memberships and animal encounter bookings
- Selling souvenirs and maintaining the presentation of the gift shop and reception area
- Responding to phone and email enquiries
- Assisting with general administration, bookings, ordering and record keeping
- Helping coordinate and deliver birthday parties, school groups and other group visits
- Assisting with functions, special events and after-hours activities
- Catering team at events, including alcohol where required
- Working collaboratively across different areas of the Zoo as required
- Supporting The Meeting Point Café during busy periods or staff absences

We are looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking with visitors of all ages
- Highly organised with robust attention to detail
- Comfortable using computers, POS,



email and booking systems
- Reliable, flexible and willing to assist wherever needed
- Confident working with children and large groups
- Able to remain calm and professional during busy periods
- Available for a flexible casual roster, including some weekends, school holidays and occasional evening events

Essential requirements:

- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol competency
- Current Working with Children Check
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, administration, events, hospitality or a similar role
- Availability to work weekends, school holidays and occasional evenings
- Must have the right to work in Australia, and immediate start is available for the right candidate. No agencies please.

Pay: $25.74 – $36.96 per hour
