Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture, technical design, and delivery of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Guidewire experience, strong architectural expertise, and the ability to define scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across implementations, upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

The Guidewire Architect will be responsible for architectural decisions, solution design, technical governance, and ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards. They will work closely with client stakeholders, business analysts, technical leads, and cross-functional Guidewire teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Core Skills Required

- Extensive experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter architecture, configuration, and integration, including Gosu scripting, PCF (Page Configuration Files), data model design,



and business rules.
- Proven experience designing and delivering at least one end-to-end Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire platform architecture, including Guidewire Studio, Edge APIs, plugins, batch processes, messaging, and event-driven integrations.
- Expertise in solution architecture and integration design across PolicyCenter and external systems, including rating engines, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, document management, and third-party applications.
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP APIs, ICM (Integration Configuration Manager), and enterprise integration patterns.
- Knowledge of Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), cloud architecture, deployment models, and cloud migration strategies.
- Ability to define architectural standards, design principles, non-functional requirements, and reusable technical patterns.
- Robust understanding of insurance domain concepts, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, rating, endorsements, renewals, and product configuration.
- Experience with Java, XML, SQL, and enterprise application integration technologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control (Git/SVN), and Agile delivery practices.
- Experience with Guidewire version upgrades, cloud migrations, platform modernisation, and performance optimisation.
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership, conduct architecture and design reviews, mentor technical teams, and guide developers through complex technical challenges.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions, assess technical risks, and provide recommendations to senior stakeholders.
