Our story
Coviu started at CSIRO with a simple idea: where you live shouldn’t decide the care you get. Today we’re the virtual care platform behind healthcare organisations of all sizes, from solo practitioners and small clinics through to virtual emergency departments. More than 90,000 practitioners have delivered over 15 million consultations on Coviu.
Now we’re taking that further. We’re building the next generation of tools to take the admin load off healthcare teams before and after every appointment, so they can spend their time on patients rather than paperwork.
We’re a small team with outsized reach, backed by Main Sequence Ventures, EVP, and Giant Leap, and recently named one of TIME’s World’s Top HealthTech Companies 2026. You’ll work closely with people who care deeply about the problem, ship quickly, and see your work show up in real care for real people.
About The Role
We're looking for a Head of Operations to own how Coviu runs. You'll be the CEO's right hand on execution: setting the rhythm the business runs to, making sure our biggest priorities land, and stepping in early to get them back on course when they don't. You'll also lead People & Culture and lead our security and compliance programme. Day to day, you'll:
- Design and run our operating cadence, from business reviews and leadership meetings to goal-setting and company updates, and evolve it as we grow
- Make sure decisions stick and commitments get followed through
- Act as our early-warning system. When goals, projects or metrics slip, you'll bring the right people together and drive it to resolution
- Build the dashboards and reporting our leaders use to run their areas
- Own the processes and systems that keep the business humming, from vendors and contracts to internal tools,
and use automation and AI to make them faster and more reliable
- Take on strategic projects for the CEO end to end, such as building new performance reporting, pressure-testing a go-to-market plan or redesigning a core process
- Lead and grow our People & Culture function, keep the people calendar running smoothly and support org design as we scale
- Own our compliance with standards and legislation such as ISO 27001 and the Privacy Act, keeping us audit-ready and leading new certifications as we need them
You'll bring:
- 6+ years in operations, business operations, strategy or a similar role, ideally at a scaling tech or healthtech company
- A structured, hypothesis-driven approach. You break messy problems into parts, find the data and get things done
- Confidence building your own analysis and dashboards in spreadsheets, BI tools and CRM data
- A track record of running operating cadences and making ownership stick across a leadership team
- Experience leading or developing at least one person
- Discretion with sensitive information, and the directness to tell anyone, including the CEO, when something is off track
- A strong appetite for AI. You already use it to work faster and you're keen to automate how a company runs
- Bonus points for experience with security or compliance programmes such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2,
familiarity with the Australian Privacy Principles, or a consulting or strategy background.
