About the Role:

Excellent opportunity for Casual Housekeeping Attendants to join our Housekeeping team at Cheltenham Manor Aged Care.

We are seeking reliable, hardworking and caring people who take pride in creating a clean, safe and welcoming home for our residents.

Our Housekeeping role combines cleaning and laundry duties. You will keep residents' rooms and common areas clean and hygienic, and launder residents' personal clothing and the home's linen with care. It's ideal for someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in their work, and wants to make a real difference to residents' comfort, dignity and quality of life.

We have 2 x Casual positions available. Shifts will be offered based on roster needs and your availability. We are looking for people to start in these roles ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning

- Carry out cleaning duties in line with cleaning schedules and duty lists
- Maintain residents' rooms, bathrooms, common areas and facilities to required hygiene standards
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and efficiently

Laundry

- Launder residents' personal clothing with care, making sure items are returned to the right resident and look their best
- Launder facility linen and keep a sufficient supply of clean, well presented linen for daily needs
- Operate laundry equipment safely and correctly

Across both

- Follow infection prevention and control, WHS and facility policies
- Complete required documentation accurately
- Report hazards, risks and incidents promptly
- Work cooperatively with the care, kitchen and housekeeping teams
- Treat residents with respect and maintain their privacy and dignity

Qualifications and Experience:

- Previous cleaning, housekeeping or laundry experience
- Sound knowledge of infection control practices
- Experience operating commercial laundry equipment (highly regarded)
- Ability to work independently and use your initiative
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in aged care or a healthcare environment (highly regarded)
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards (highly regarded)

- Current Employment Police Check (Required)
- Australian working rights (Required)
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting individual and cultural differences
- Ability to participate in compulsory education and training sessions
