HR Truck Drivers | Rockhampton

Two Casual Positions | Local Deliveries | Flexible Working Opportunities Not every driver is looking for the same working week.

Some want a few days behind the wheel, a bit of flexibility and time for other commitments. Others are looking for more regular work without having to head away from home.

At Blacks Transport in Rockhampton, we have opportunities for both.

We're looking for two experienced HR Truck Drivers to join our local delivery team, helping move general freight throughout Rockhampton and the surrounding areas.

Both positions are casual, but the working arrangements are a little different.

Two Positions Available

Position 1 | Casual Relief HR Driver We're looking for a reliable driver available approximately 2 to 3 days per week, helping cover leave, busy periods and other operational requirements.

This could suit an experienced driver who enjoys the work but doesn't necessarily want a full working week.

Flexibility and availability will be key, as the days required may vary depending on operational needs.

Position 2 | Casual HR Driver

Our second opportunity is for an HR Driver to join our regular local delivery operation.

This position will involve completing local deliveries and pickups, working alongside our existing drivers and depot team to keep freight moving throughout the region.

We're looking for someone who wants regular casual work, understands general freight and takes pride in doing the job properly.

What You'll Be Doing

Both positions involve the same core responsibilities:

- Completing local deliveries and pickups across Rockhampton and surrounding areas
- Operating HR vehicles safely and professionally
- Loading and unloading general freight
- Completing vehicle inspections and ensuring loads are secure
- Using freight scanners and completing delivery documentation
- Communicating with our depot and operations team
- Providing professional service when dealing with customers

- Following company safety procedures and transport regulations

This is hands on general freight work, so you'll need to be comfortable getting in and out of the truck and assisting with freight handling throughout the day.

What We're Looking For

A current HR Driver Licence is essential. Ideally, you'll also bring:
- Previous experience in local deliveries or general freight
- Confidence operating HR vehicles in local delivery environments
- Good knowledge of Rockhampton and surrounding areas
- Experience with load restraint and safe freight handling
- A professional and respectful approach to customers
- Reliability and good communication
- The ability to work independently and manage your deliveries
- A willingness to help out when the operation needs it

General freight experience is highly regarded, but we're equally interested in experienced HR drivers with the right attitude and a willingness to learn our operation.

Why Blacks Transport?

We know that casual employment needs to work for both the business and the driver. For one person, that might mean a couple of days each week. For another, it might mean more regular work and the opportunity to become a familiar part of the local operation.

What we can offer is:

- An established Queensland transport business
- A busy and varied general freight environment
- An experienced local depot team
- Straightforward communication about the work and expectations
