C.D. Dodd is looking for a suitably qualified person to join their team at Kalgoorlie.

These are some of the requirements as follows:

- Above award pay rate attracting penalty rates

- Monday - Friday 07.00am - 17.00pm

- Sound knowledge within the Goldfields region for daily pick ups

- Must have a current and valid HR Licence with a clean driving history

- National Police Clearance within last 6 months

- Current Commercial Drivers Medical and Fatigue Management Certificate

- Must be able to pass a Pre Employment Medical plus a Drug/Alcohol Test

- Must be reliable and trustworthy for continuous work

- Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised

- Forward thinker and problem solver to help with decision making skills when needed loading and unloading scrap materials
- A team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
- A ‘can do’ attitude to work,



flexible and able to work autonomously in a quick paced and dynamic work environment

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a heavy rigid truck to collect commercial scrap metal, and transport.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company protocols.

- Conduct routine vehicle checks and maintenance (pre starts) each morning

- Communicate effectively with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient service.

- Some mechanical knowledge to assist with on-site recovery and doing daily pre starts

- Ensure loads are securely fastened before and during transit.

To Be Successful:

- A current HR driver's licence.

- Previous truck driving experience, preferably in scrap metal recycling or a similar industry.

- A strong commitment to safety and following workplace procedures.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- A reliable work ethic, punctuality and a willingness to learn.

- The ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment.
