UKnighted Recruitment is partnering with an established, design-focused practice seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Interior Designer to join its Queensland team.

Our client delivers thoughtful, functional interiors across education, seniors living and commercial workplace environments, with a strong emphasis on design quality, technical resolution and creating spaces that work for the people using them.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Interior Designer who enjoys being involved across the entire design process. Someone who has a good eye for design, understands how things come together technically and can confidently take ownership of projects.

You'll work closely with an in-house Architecture team, contributing to a variety of projects within a collaborative studio environment.

The Role

This is a hands-on position suited to an Interior Designer who enjoys balancing creative design with detailed technical delivery.

You'll have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own work, coordinate directly with clients and consultants, and contribute to projects from design development through to documentation.

Your responsibilities will include

- Develop thoughtful, functional interior design solutions across a range of projects.
- Prepare detailed interior documentation and coordinated drawing packages.
- Resolve joinery detailing,



material applications, finishes, transitions and construction junctions.
- Produce practical, buildable documentation that maintains the original design intent.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants and internal project teams.
- Take ownership of projects and manage your workload independently.
- Collaborate closely with the Architecture team to deliver integrated design outcomes.
- Contribute to material selections, finishes, design presentations and technical reviews.
- Support projects through documentation and delivery stages.

About You

We're looking for a well-rounded Interior Designer with strong studio experience, good design instincts and the technical capability to bring ideas to life.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Solid experience working within an interior design or architectural studio.
- Strong design sensibility and excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced interior documentation and technical detailing skills.
- Confidence resolving joinery, finishes, materials and construction details.
- Strong Revit proficiency, with Enscape experience highly regarded.
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing project priorities.
- Experience coordinating directly with clients,



consultants and project stakeholders.
- Confidence collaborating with Architects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in education, seniors living or workplace projects would be advantageous.

We're particularly interested in designers who are comfortable moving between the creative and technical sides of a project. You don't need to specialise in one area, but you should enjoy taking a design from an initial idea through to a well-resolved, buildable outcome.
