We are seeking a motivated Network Engineering Intern to join an established IT services and technology solutions provider based in Chelsea Heights, Melbourne.

This opportunity is ideal for IT, Networking, Telecommunications or Cybersecurity students and recent graduates looking to gain practical Australian industry experience in network infrastructure, connectivity, troubleshooting and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with network installation, configuration and maintenance

- Support troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi and connectivity issues

- Assist with configuring routers, switches and firewalls

- Support network monitoring and performance checks

- Gain exposure to TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPN technologies

- Assist with network security and access management

- Support network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance

- Document network configurations and technical procedures

- Assist with onsite and remote network support

- Collaborate with IT professionals on technical projects

Skills &

Requirements

- Currently studying or recently completed IT, Network Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity or a related qualification

- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN

- Basic knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls and wireless networks

- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365





- Knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti or similar technologies is advantageous

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Previous networking experience is advantageous but not essential.

- Valid visa allowing internship participation
