With continued growth across the region, they are seeking an experienced executive to lead governance, risk, compliance, and corporate services functions.

The Opportunity

This is a rare executive leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board and senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping corporate governance, risk management, compliance, legal affairs, and broader organizational initiatives. In addition to providing strategic advice to executive stakeholders, you will contribute to business transformation, regional operations oversight, and long-term business strategy across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Stakeholder Support

- Advise the CEO, Board, and senior leaders on business, governance, compliance, and risk matters

- Build strong relationships with regulators, external advisers, and key business partners

Legal, Governance & Compliance

- Lead legal, governance, and compliance activities across the business

- Manage contracts, regulatory requirements, and company policies

- Support Board and Executive reporting requirements

Risk Management

- Improve risk management and compliance processes





- Identify and manage business, operational, and regulatory risks

- Promote a strong culture of accountability and ethical business practices

People & Culture

- Oversee HR, employee relations, and people-related initiatives

- Support workforce planning and governance activities

Operations

- Oversee selected regional and shared service functions

- Ensure effective operations and high service standards

ESG & Sustainability

- Support sustainability, ESG, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Degree in Law, Business, Commerce, Risk Management, or a related field

- Native-level Japanese and fluent English

- 8 years' experience in governance, risk, compliance, legal, or corporate leadership roles

- Experience working closely with Boards, CEOs, and senior executives

- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, risk management, and compliance

- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk and business growth

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- High integrity, professionalism, and sound judgement

- Experience in multinational or international organisations is highly regarded

- Legal qualifications are an advantage but not essential
