About River Place
River Place Apartments Brisbane is an established on-site residential management operation within one of Brisbane CBD’s prominent riverfront apartment communities.
Operating within a premium residential environment overlooking the Brisbane River, our focus is on delivering a consistently high standard of resident service, presentation and professional management.
Our approach is considered, personal and service-led. We believe quality is reflected in the details — from the way residents and visitors are welcomed at reception to the accuracy, discretion and professionalism behind our day-to-day operations.
As our business continues to develop, we are investing in technology, service innovation, operational improvement and the long-term growth of our residential management activities.
Our culture is professional, supportive and hands-on. We value reliability, initiative, sound judgement, clear communication and genuine pride in maintaining high standards.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a polished, personable and ambitious Junior Front Desk & Residential Administration Assistant to join our on-site management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their professional career who has already developed a foundation in reception, administration, customer service or another people-facing environment and is looking to take the next step.
As one of the first points of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, you will play an important role in maintaining the professional and welcoming experience expected at River Place, while supporting the wider Property Management and Building Management teams.
Extensive property experience is not required.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, perceptive, naturally confident with people, highly organised and able to develop quickly in a professional environment.
For the right person, this role offers more than a traditional reception position. It provides a genuine opportunity to build professional experience and progressively gain exposure to property management, leasing, residential operations and broader business administration.
__
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, polished and professional first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors
- Manage incoming telephone calls, emails and front desk enquiries
- Assist with routine resident enquiries and direct more complex matters appropriately
- Maintain a high standard of presentation across reception and front-of-house areas
- Assist with keys, bookings, contractor processes and resident administration
- Maintain accurate records, correspondence and digital information
- Prepare routine notices and administrative correspondence
- Support Property Management and Building Management with day-to-day administration
- Learn and use property, resident and office management systems
- Follow through enquiries and tasks accurately and professionally
- Assist with general office organisation and operational requirements
- Contribute to service and process improvements as your experience develops
__
About You
You combine a warm and confident manner with robust organisation and personal reliability.
You enjoy working with people and understand that excellent front-of-house service also requires accuracy, discretion, judgement and consistent follow-through.
You will ideally bring
- A polished, professional and approachable manner
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Genuine reliability and punctuality
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to remain calm and composed in a busy environment
- Confidence managing several priorities at once
- Strong follow-through and personal accountability
- Initiative and practical problem-solving skills
- Confidence with technology and strong learning agility
- Curiosity and an interest in how a professional business operates
- Professional discretion when handling resident and business information
- A genuine commitment to providing a high standard of service
Above all, we are looking for someone who is people-focused, dependable, perceptive and motivated to develop professionally.
__
Experience
Ideally, you will have approximately 1–2 years of experience in reception, administration, office support, customer service or another professional people-facing environment.
Relevant experience may come from:
- Reception or administration
- Real estate or property
- Hotels or premium hospitality
- Professional or medical reception
- Customer service
- Premium retail
- Residential or accommodation services
Previous real estate or property management experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
We are equally interested in candidates with strong transferable skills who demonstrate the maturity, capability and ambition to develop within the industry.

Early-Career Development
We see this role as an opportunity to build more than front-desk experience.
As your capability develops, you may gain exposure to:
- Residential property management
- Leasing and tenancy administration
- Resident and client relationship management
- Building and residential operations
- Property technology and digital systems
- Compliance and documentation
- Business administration
- Operational management
- Process and service improvement
For someone who demonstrates initiative, reliability and capability, there may also be opportunities for relevant industry education, professional development and future CPD aligned with their responsibilities and career direction.
We are particularly interested in someone who is commercially curious, ambitious about their professional development and interested in progressively taking on broader responsibility.

Hours & Progression
This is a permanent part time position, initially commencing at approximately 20 hours per week, with scope to increase to approximately 20–32 hours per week as the role develops.
Expected initial core hours are:
Monday to Friday | approximately 8:00am–12:00pm
Additional weekday hours may become available as your capability, responsibilities and the needs of the business develop.
Candidates who are open to occasional Saturday work are also welcome to discuss:
Saturday | approximately 9:00am–12:00pm
Saturday availability is welcomed but is not an essential requirement.
The appointment will include a three-month probationary period, providing an initial period for structured onboarding, development and mutual assessment of the role.
For a high-performing candidate who demonstrates strong service standards, reliability and growing capability, there may be opportunities to progressively increase hours and broaden the scope of the position.
Over time, there may also be potential progression toward a broader or full-time position, subject to performance, capability, business requirements and mutual agreement.
__
Remuneration The position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, with remuneration structured in accordance with the applicable modern award and classification, together with 12% superannuation.
