About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, and self-motivated serology laboratory technical officer to be part of our expanding team. The key responsibility of this full time position is to perform diagnostic serology tests in compliance with the departments established protocols, as well as other areas of the laboratory as needed.

Key responsibilities

- Adhere to policies and procedures, prioritise and organise workflow safely and efficiently, and with commitment to quality
- Review and troubleshooting of quality control
- Demonstrate scientific and technical competency in serological testing
- Review, validate, and report patient results
- Maintain and utilise equipment and instrumentation
- Work under supervision of the Supervising Scientist; perform tasks as requested
- Exhibit high level of people skills and ability to work in a team




- Participate in weekend shifts as part of a 24/7 rotating roster

About you

- Be Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Have a minimum of one (1) years' experience in serology field
- Provide a client focused approach to ensure that accurate clinical diagnostic results are provided promptly
- Demonstrate enthusiastic and self-motivated work ethic
- Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate experience with high throughput laboratory equipment and testing a variety of specimen types
