Labourers with HR Truck Licence – Waste & Street Sweeping | Local Council

Night Shift & Early Morning Day Shift | Monday–Friday + 4 hour Weekend shift each week Complete Staff Solutions are seeking reliable Labourers with HR Licence to join our Local Government client’s operations team, with positions available in both the Waste Team and Street Sweeping Team.

These are hands-on roles suited to Labourers with HR truck licence who enjoy outdoor work, take pride in working safely and are happy to assist with general cleansing duties.

Waste Team Hours: Monday–Friday, 12:34am–9:30am, plus one 4-hour weekend shift each week.

You’ll assist with waste collection and help keep public areas clean and tidy.

Key duties include:

- Collecting litter from public bins using a small rear-loader compactor.
- Operating a larger rear-loader compactor for hard waste collection.
- Assisting with general waste and cleansing duties as required.
- Completing litter bin collection on weekends and public holidays.

Street Sweeping Team

Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:04am–12:00pm, plus one 4-hour weekend shift.

You’ll initially work as a blower operator, assisting street sweeper drivers to complete their daily runs, with the chance to eventually operate the Council’s three street sweeper trucks.

Key duties include:

- Operating a blower to assist with street sweeping operations.




- Supporting drivers to complete scheduled sweeping runs.
- Progressing to operating street sweeper trucks following training.
- Assisting with general street cleansing and outdoor labouring duties.

What You'll Need

- Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence (previous heavy vehicle driving experience highly regarded)
- Reliable transport.
- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor manual work.
- A strong focus on safety and following procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work early starts and weekend shifts.

Previous experience in waste collection, street sweeping or local government cleansing will be highly regarded.
