Our client is a leading technology business. The company is in a period of sustained growth and is building a high-calibre team to support its continued expansion. About the role

In this newly created role, you will provide legal advice and support to the commercial teams on material legal, regulatory and strategic matters. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work with a range of internal business units, as well as the Board and a range of external stakeholders. The key responsibilities include:

- Review and negotiate customer contracts, procurement contracts, tenders, consultancy agreements, IT licences, sponsorship agreements, leases and other commercial agreements.
- Provide legal advice on commercial, competition and consumer, intellectual property, corporate and property matters.
- Draft and review standard contracts and templates.
- Manage disputes and litigation.
- Deliver or facilitate legal training for the business.
- Support the Assistant Company Secretary with governance and company secretarial matters.

About youYou will have 5 years' PQE. Ideally, you will have some experience in an in-house legal team or on secondment. Our client is also open to more experienced lawyers who are seeking a part time (0.8 FTE) Senior Legal Counsel role.



You will bring strong commercial acumen and the ability to work efficiently while assessing risk, together with sound judgment under time pressure and a willingness to raise matters of importance. You will work well both independently and as part of a team and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Experience in the technology or telecommunications sector, or within an ASX-listed organisation is advantageous but not essential.
