Position: Machine Operator

Location: Walla Walla Workshop

Position Overview

We are seeking a Machine Operator who is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of roll forming and metal fabrication machinery to produce high-quality steel components. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow drawings and instructions, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork within a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate a variety of roll forming machines in accordance with production requirements

- Operate other metal fabrication machinery as required

- Follow instructions, drawings, and documentation provided by the drafting department and senior employees

- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively

- Monitor material and stock levels when reloading roll formers and other fabrication machines

- Ensure components are produced to required dimensions, standards, and quality specifications

- Carry out work in both workshop and construction site environments as required

- Maintain clean, protected, and organised work areas, tools, and equipment

- Wear required safety clothing and correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE)





- Carry out all work in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures

Skills & Experience

- Experience operating roll forming or metal fabrication machinery (preferred)

- Ability to read and follow drawings, job sheets, and instructions

- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

- Forklift License an advantage

- Good communication skills

- Ability to follow safety procedures, SWMS, and company policies

- Willingness to participate in safety training and toolbox meetings
