Casual Marketing Coordinator
We’re looking for a creative and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join the Q Station team on a casual basis, with approximately 2-3 days of work per week anticipated, bringing practical experience in social media marketing, content creation and video editing.
Working across accommodation, dining, weddings, conferences and tours, you’ll bring Q Station’s experiences to life through engaging content and coordinated marketing campaigns. You’ll be confident taking content from concept through to publication, managing competing priorities and delivering work that is polished, accurate and on-brand.
About Q Station
We are located in the heart of North Head National Park in Manly, offering boutique accommodation, stunning wedding venues, modern conference facilities, a waterfront restaurant, and ghost and history tours. Beyond its rich history and incredible views, Q Station is brought to life by a passionate, professional and dedicated team who create memorable experiences for everyone who visits.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll coordinate the day-to-day delivery of Q Station’s marketing activity, combining creative content production with strong organisation and execution.
This is a hands-on role for someone who already has marketing experience and is ready to take ownership of content calendars, social media activity and campaign deliverables. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager on priorities and brand direction, while independently progressing agreed activity and contributing fresh ideas to strengthen engagement and promote Q Station’s experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, create, edit and schedule social media content across Q Station’s channels, including posts, stories, reels and short-form video.
- Capture photography and video across the property, turning footage into engaging, platform-appropriate content.
- Maintain the content calendar and coordinate campaign deliverables, promotions and seasonal marketing activity.
- Write and publish compelling copy for social media, website updates, blogs, email campaigns and promotional materials.
- Design and update marketing collateral, including signage, flyers, menus, posters and digital assets, using Canva and other creative tools.
- Coordinate website and email marketing updates, ensuring content is accurate, current and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Manage day-to-day community engagement across social channels and respond to Google reviews, escalating sensitive or complex matters appropriately.
- Monitor content and campaign performance, prepare regular reports and recommend practical improvements.
- Coordinate content capture and marketing requirements for on-site events, activations and promotional activity.
- Liaise with operational teams to gather information, identify content opportunities and keep marketing activity aligned with the guest experience.
- Maintain organised digital assets, campaign records and marketing files.
- Manage deadlines, approvals and quality checks to ensure marketing activity is delivered on time and to a high standard.
About You
You bring practical marketing experience, a strong creative eye and the organisational skills to turn ideas into well-executed content and campaigns. You’re comfortable working independently within an agreed brief, collaborating with different teams and balancing planned activity with emerging opportunities.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a marketing,
social media or content-focused role, with examples of work you have personally delivered.
- Experience using AI tools to support content creation, idea generation and marketing workflows, with sound judgement to ensure outputs are accurate, original and aligned with the brand.
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing social media content, including an understanding of platform formats, audience engagement and performance metrics.
- Practical video-editing skills, with experience producing reels and short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent.
- Confidence capturing quality photography and video for digital channels.
- Proficiency in Canva or comparable design software, with the ability to produce polished, brand-consistent collateral.
- Robust copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and channels.
- Experience updating website content and delivering email marketing campaigns.
- Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and take ownership of agreed deliverables.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and confidence working with stakeholders across different departments.
- Availability to support occasional events and content capture outside standard business hours, as agreed.
Highly Regarded
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, accommodation, events or another consumer-facing environment.
- Experience with paid social campaigns, search engine optimisation or digital analytics tools.
