Role Purpose

Marketing & Graphic Design Assistant supports the Marketing & Communication Specialist in the day-to-day execution of digital marketing and content production activities. This role is for someone who can work with a high degree of independence, combining foundational graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, etc.) with practical digital marketing knowledge (paid media execution, search optimisation, content, social media).

This role requires someone who can pick up tasks, execute them to a professional standard with minimal supervision, and proactively flag issues or ideas rather than waiting for detailed direction.

This is not an entry-level internship. The successful candidate is expected to already have basic design and marketing competencies and to translate a brief into finished creative and campaign assets largely unassisted.

Key Accountabilities

- Design and produce marketing collateral (social media graphics, flyers, email banners, presentation assets) using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva, Premiere or similar.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and publishing content across digital and social media channels.
- Support the Marketing & Communication Specialist with campaign execution, including basic performance tracking and reporting.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and touchpoints.
- Proofread and format marketing content (copy, graphics, layouts) prior to publication.
- Manage and organise digital assets (image libraries, templates, brand files).
- Identify opportunities to improve content quality, campaign performance, or workflow efficiency, and raise these proactively.
- Take on ad hoc marketing and design tasks as required, working independently to see them through to completion.

Measurement of Success Experience & Qualifications

- Some prior experience (paid,



freelance, or substantial personal/academic project work) in digital marketing and/or graphic design.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (or equivalent design software such as Photoshop and Canva).
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content scheduling/publishing tools.
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field (desirable, not essential if practical skills/portfolio are robust). If you are currently studying, we prefer final-year students.
- A portfolio or work samples demonstrating design capability.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

- High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable identifying tasks and priorities without being told step-by-step.
- Reliable and accountable, particularly given the part-time/casual nature of the role.
- Good communicator, able to collaborate effectively with a remote/overseas team.
- Detail-oriented, particularly around brand consistency and quality of finished work.
- Open to feedback and able to iterate quickly on design work.

Functional Competencies

- Practical proficiency in graphic design software (Illustrator essential; Photoshop/Canva/InDesign advantageous).
- Basic understanding of digital marketing principles (social media, content calendars, campaign basics).
- Ability to manage multiple small tasks/projects concurrently within limited weekly hours.
- Time management skills suited to a casual, hour-limited role.
- Comfortable using standard office and collaboration tools (e.g. Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack/Teams).
