About the role

Comma is a warm, all-day eatery and bar at Fed Square shaped by Melbourne's coffee culture. We're looking for an energetic, hands-on Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to bring Comma to life online and in the room. You'll work directly with the Owner and General Manager to shape how Melbourne discovers, follows and falls for this venue — from the first Instagram post to the buzz of a Friday night service.

This is a genuinely diverse, fast-paced role at the ground floor of a brand launch. No two days will look the same.

Key responsibilities

- Own Comma's social media presence — content planning, posting, community management and growing an engaged local following

- Shoot and edit photo and video content on the floor, in the kitchen and behind the bar

- Support design of menus, signage, promotional material and social assets in line with Comma's brand guidelines

- Work closely with the Owner and GM to plan campaigns, events and seasonal pushes

- Assist with instore events and loyalty programs

- Keep a finger on the pulse of what's happening in hospitality and culture across the city

- Stay hands-on — this role sits in the venue throughout the week, as well as working from home

About you





- Paid employment in a social media or digital marketing role (managing personal accounts alone is not sufficient)

- Previous restaurant experience, ideally running social media or marketing for a restaurant, café or bar
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food and drink culture

- Confidence with a camera — photography and videography skills, and an eye for what makes content stop the scroll

- Some graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Suite or similar)

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across a busy team

- Excellent organization — you can juggle a content calendar, a campaign brief and a last-minute event brief at once
- A hands-on, get-it-done attitude and genuine energy for building something new
