Medical Receptionist – Samuel Yang Plastic Surgery

Samuel Yang Plastic Surgery is seeking a Medical Receptionist to become an integral part of our team. We are an established modern specialist practice based at Greenslopes Private Hospital, providing high-quality patient care in a skilled and supportive environment.

Working within plastic and reconstructive surgery offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a diverse specialty, with exposure to a wide variety of consultations, procedures, and patient journeys.

This position is available as either a full-time role or a permanent part-time position (4 days per week).

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate seeking a long-term career in specialist medical administration. Previous medical reception experience is welcomed but not essential – we encourage applications from experienced medical receptionists, as well as candidates with strong administrative and customer service skills who are looking to commence a career in healthcare administration. Full training and support will be provided for the right person.

Key Skills & Attributes

- Previous experience in medical reception, healthcare administration, or a customer-focused environment is highly regarded but not essential

- Excellent customer service skills, with compassion and care for patients

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- IT savvy and comfortable learning current systems

- Motivated to excel in medical administration

- Able to follow detailed processes and take ownership of responsibilities

- Professional presentation and a friendly, positive attitude

- Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism when managing sensitive patient information

Duties Include (But Are Not Limited To)

- Coordinating patient appointments

- Running consulting clinics and facilitating consultation payments

- Surgical scheduling and theatre list coordination

- Handling patient enquiries via phone and email

- Patient Correspondence

- Liaising with patients, doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers

Commencement

Commencement date is flexible and will be mutually agreed with the successful candidate.

Salary/Remuneration

$28-$36 per hour (depending on level of experience) plus superannuation. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
