Position: Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Field Service

Location: Initially Rockingham, with opportunities for Perth metro and Goldfields work

Roster: 5:2 (Monday to Friday), with site work and weekends as required

Hourly Rate: Up to $65 per hour + super on all hours worked in Rockingham, increasing when working in the Goldfields

Employment Type: Casual with a temp-to-perm opportunity

Position Overview Start local in Rockingham, with the opportunity to take on field service work across Perth and the Goldfields—and earn a higher hourly rate when working in the Goldfields!

EMS is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to carry out maintenance, repairs and fault finding on a variety of equipment, including heavy earthmoving machinery, road trains and civil gear.

You’ll initially support our Rockingham work, with opportunities to work on both open cut and underground machinery across Perth metro and Goldfields operations as required. The role also includes ordering parts, scheduling maintenance and completing job records.

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, can work independently and is happy to travel for site work when needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need

- AU/NZ Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate
- Experience maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment
- Robust diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Valid Australian manual driver’s licence
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Be based in Perth or surrounding areas and able to commute to Rockingham
- Flexibility to undertake Goldfields site work and weekends as required
- HR licence and additional relevant tickets desirable
