At BLS Building we service customers from around the region undertaking a diverse range of building and construction project work for private and agency clients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain high quality standards on jobs according to codes and regulations

· Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects as per scope of works to high-quality standards

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment

· Exercise initiative and critical thinking skills

· Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications

Trade specific tasks across Carpentry/Tiling/Sheeting:

· First fix framing - construction of walls, floors and installation of roof trusses





· Install insulation and wrapping

· Roofing, flashings, guttering and ridge capping

· Install doors, windows, second fix timber work – architraves and skirtings

· Install plasterboard sheeting and cornices to walls and ceilings

· Tape, flush and sand walls & ceilings

· Prepare walls, floors, and other surfaces for tiling and waterproofing, with some sheeting, patching and flushing associated tasks

· Apply waterproof membranes, sealants, and primers in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant building standards

· Measure, cut, and install various types of tiles including but not limited to ceramic & porcelain tiles as well as tiles for external applications

· Lay floor screeds and perform substrate preparation where required

· Grout, seal, and finish tiled surfaces to a professional standard

Essential Requirements:

· Trade qualification in the building and construction industry - relevant vocation

· Proven experience in relevant trade area (Carpenter/Tiler/Sheet Plasterer)

· White card

· Current driver’s licence with own transport to and from BLS workshop

· Current Criminal History Check

· Current Working with Children Check

· Minimum of 2 current professional or educational referees

· Brief cover letter outlining the position you would be applying for
