Why Choose Early Bird?
The team at Early Bird chooses to be here because we love what we do. We love to work collaboratively and share the highs and lows that come with working in our sector. We strongly value work/life balance, and our people will always be more important than profit.
We work on a ‘choose your own adventure’ approach to billable targets. Our expectations are very modest, with monthly productivity bonuses of up to $80 per day worked if you wish to exceed them. Caseloads are built at your pace, and you will never be pressured about billable hours or made to feel bad if you don't reach a target.
You'll have access to regular clinical supervision, a generous professional development budget and unlimited professional development days.
You will be provided with everything you need to work, including a laptop, iPad, and access to our extensive toy and resource library.
Work hours and start date are negotiable, although we have a strong preference for full time or four days per week.
Graduates are welcome to apply.
We also welcome applications from students in their final year of Occupational Therapy. There may also be an opportunity to commence as an Allied Health Assistant while awaiting graduation and registration.
About Early Bird Therapy
Early Bird Therapy provides allied health services for children aged 0–12 with developmental differences or disabilities. Most of our day-to-day work is with children aged 0–7, with groups and school holiday intensives also available for children aged 7–12.
We work closely with families, our colleagues and other organisations to deliver high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming services. We pride ourselves on providing child and family-centred care and treating each child that we see as a valued individual.
Occupational Therapist Role
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team. You will be based in our Fyshwick clinic,

The role will also include:
- working closely with families and educators to improve child outcomes using family-centred, functional goals
- running therapy groups
- collaborating with other professionals
- keeping accurate records
- participating in professional development and supervision
Skills and Experience The most important quality we look for in our therapists is a desire to work collaboratively with children, families and colleagues.
We welcome applications from new graduates, early-career Occupational Therapists and students currently completing their final year of an Occupational Therapy degree.

- Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration, or eligibility for registration upon graduation
- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or ability to obtain this prior to commencing
- Driver's licence and a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
