About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Darwin, NT on a full-time basis. This is a strategic leadership position that plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless running of our operations. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimising processes, managing resources effectively and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This role offers significant scope for impact, as you will directly influence operational efficiency, safety standards and team performance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee and manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure targets are met and standards are maintained

- Develop and implement operational strategies and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs

- Manage budgets, resources and capital expenditure within your area of responsibility

- Lead, mentor and supervise operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety legislation, environmental regulations and company policies

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management

- Liaise with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational issues

- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect operations and assets

- Manage supplier and contractor relationships to ensure service quality and value for money

- Implement and maintain quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives





What we're looking for

- Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, logistics or offshore sectors

- Strong knowledge of operational management principles, process optimisation and resource planning

- Demonstrable experience leading and managing teams of varying sizes

- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, environmental compliance and quality management systems

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and controlling costs

- Proficiency with relevant computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office applications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organisational levels

- Relevant qualifications in operations management, engineering, logistics or a related discipline
- A valid Australian driver's licence (desirable)

- Offshore experience or familiarity with offshore operations (preferred)

- Certification in health and safety management or project management (preferred)
