As a Panelbeater at MF SERVICES FIRM PTY LTD Trading As M Auto Detail Lab, you will be responsible for assessing and repairing damaged vehicle bodywork, restoring panels and structural components, fitting replacement sections, and preparing repaired vehicles for a high-quality finish. This position requires strong technical panel-beating skills, accuracy and close attention to vehicle fit, finish and safety.

Responsibilities and Tasks

- Inspect vehicle bodywork and assess damage to metal, fibreglass and plastic panels to determine the most appropriate repair method.
- Remove damaged panels, parts, trims, upholstery and accessories where required to gain safe access to affected body areas.
- Straighten damaged panels and body structures using hand tools, mechanical equipment and hydraulic straightening systems to restore correct alignment.
- Repair dents and surface damage by hammering, filling, filing, grinding and sanding panels to achieve smooth, accurate contours ready for finishing.
- Cut, shape, weld and fit replacement body sections and panels when damaged components cannot be effectively repaired.




- Fit repaired or replacement panels and refit body hardware, trims, locks and related components, checking alignment, clearances and operation.
- Review repair instructions and job requirements, identify additional damage or parts needs, and communicate findings promptly to support efficient workshop workflow.
- Coordinate with painters, detailers and other workshop personnel so repaired surfaces are properly prepared and completed to the business's vehicle presentation standards.
- Carry out final quality and safety checks on completed repairs, maintain tools and work areas in positive order, and follow workshop safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Panelbeater
- Strong knowledge of automotive body repair techniques for metal, fibreglass and plastic components.
- Competence in panel beating, welding, grinding, sanding and the use of mechanical and hydraulic repair equipment.
- Ability to assess damage accurately and restore panel fit, body alignment and finish to a high standard.
- High attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively within a workshop team, manage repair priorities and follow safe work practices.

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $85,000 - $90,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
