About the role

We are a busy motorcycle dealership located in Balcatta, seeking an experienced, reliable and organised self-employed Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper looking for a flexible, part time contractor arrangement with an established and fast-paced business. The role will initially be three days per week, with the opportunity for additional days and responsibilities as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

- Managing accounts payable, including processing supplier invoices and payments.

- Assisting with accounts receivable and payment allocations.

- Performing regular bank reconciliations.

- Reconciling company credit cards and investigating discrepancies.

- Processing and reconciling expense claims.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero.

- Using Microsoft Excel to maintain spreadsheets, track transactions and assist with financial reporting.

- Ensuring bookkeeping records are accurate,



complete and maintained in a timely manner.

- Identifying and resolving discrepancies and following up on outstanding items.

About you

- A minimum of three years' hands-on experience using Xero.

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – essential.

- Proven bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.

- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills.

- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with our team.

- Experience in a motorcycle dealership, automotive or similar industry environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
