About the Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Passenger Service Agent (min 20 hours per week with an average of 30 hours per week) to help deliver a seamless and positive travel experience for passengers at the Cairns Airport working on behalf of Virgin Australia.

Key responsibilities include

- Providing exceptional customer service and curating a positive, memorable experience for our passengers

- Processing passenger check-in and boarding

- Verifying passports and travel documents

- Tag baggage, allocating seats and issuing boarding passes

- Performing boarding gate duties and passenger announcements

- Ensuring compliance with safety, security, and airline procedures

- Providing support to passengers with special needs

- Operate multiple airline check-in systems proficiently

- Participate in training programs and deliver on-the-job training

About You To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be available to work a 24/7 rotational roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (essential).

- Have full and unrestricted working rights in Australia

- Hold a current QLD Driver Licence (minimum P1/P2)

- Have previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, travel, aviation or another fast-paced customer-facing environment.

- Be reliable,

- Have strong communication, computer, and organisational skills

- Work well independently and as part of a team

- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation

- Be willing to complete a Police Check, ASIC Security Check, and pre-employment medical
